Week 1

Well, here we go.  Tried this once before and wasn't committed, but I've got so many problems, that I need to stay committed and hopefully I will this time, now that I'm part of the community.  I'm going to Florida to visit family in January, so want to be lighter for that.  And we have a family wedding coming up in August so want to be in top shape for that.  I'm tired of being sick and tired.  It's time for a new me...........or the old me to come back, not just for myself, but for my family as well.  Any help anyone w

Today is DAY 1

Today is day one and I don't know what to expect.  Excited and fearful (what if I can't do it).  Realizing that is a poor attitude.  I am very interested in changing my eating and thus my nutritional habits.  Want so much to be healthy and to feel good.  Just do it.  It is something that I have to do for myself. And I have to stop procrastinating!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  NOW, the time is NOW.

And so it begins AGAIN

I have tried everything.  Every over the counter pills and plan.  I've tried many, many online programs and spent, yes, thousands of dollars.  From the Beachbody programs and diets to the I bought the audio book, UM and have since read every one of the Dr Hyman's books and articles.  I've researched him online.  I've also read several other Dr's books, including the Perricone plan.  I have to say that of everything I've read, I found Dr Hyman's approach to be the most realistic, the most humanistic.    I've changed the way I cook and the way I look at
