Day One and Nervous! Question:

Hi, I'm finally starting day one of the USD. I did the prep week best I could but just could not get off the chocolate. Instead of waiting any longer I decided to just start and hope the diet itself helps me off of it. I am nervous that I won't stick to this though. I haven't eaten yet, so far I drank the bufferred C and tried to, but gagged, on the olive oil and lemon. I did a bit of yoga/pilates, took pics and entered my measurements and journal. I'm off to battle breakfast now, wish me luck! I think I can, I think I can...
Question: Do I have to drink hot water and lemon separate from the green tea? On top of the water for the supplements, is this too much filling water to be able to still eat? I thought too much liquid with meals reduces HCL, hindering digestion.

I'm happy to report I'm currently on Day 4 and have not had a single ounce of chocolate - and survived! Four days is a record for me and I have not had a craving, even when confronted with it, I didn't want/need it. I'm loving the ultrashakes, sometimes I use the coconut milk (delicious), the ultrabroth is awesome, and the ultrabath extremely relaxing and skin-softening. I haven't been a saint on the plan, skipped a couple of evening supplements. I'm finding that if I eat breakfast, lunch around 3pm, and snacks in between, a simple shake or veggie juice or broth fill me up at dinner.
I have been very fatigued though during the day, mostly afternoons. It is very hard to wake up and I drag through the day until evening when my energy picke up and then I can't fall asleep until midnight or so. I've had this horrible lethargy for awhile now, worst in the afternoon. I wonder if I just need to reset my body clock, oversleeping is causing it, or what?
Glad you are doing well

I am glad to hear that you are doing well with the chocolate. That is always one of my own issues. I have not missed it either, and I did not have any last week either! I got so tired today that I went to sleep at 5PM and slept 2 hours. When I got up I ate a nice dinner of fish, brown rice and spinach.
I am on day 5 myself and I had no craving until today. Don't know if that means something or not. I did not give into my craving, but it would have been easy to do so. I think it was because I had to leave the house for the first time this week to run errands. The smell of coffee in the mall did not bother me. I was able to get right by the chocolates, too. The popcorn was really tough. So maybe I have a corn allergy and never new it? Maybe I will wait a while before adding that back in.
Blessings

I was looking at the calories and it is pretty low cal if you don't eat the Ultrashakes a few times during the day. If you used to eating a lot more, your body may be conserving a bunch of energy thinking it's not getting enough.
