Headaches - can I take meds??

Hi all!
I'm starting my first day today, after last week's prep-week. I've been suffering from chronic headaches for the past 15 years or so, and of course, today had to be one of my "bad days"!
Can I still take medication to rid myself of this headache, or do I have to just suck it up beacause of the toxins? I'm trying to follow the plan by the book, but suffering from headaches makes everything else so much harder to do...
