Is it o.k. to have an occasional treat?

I am on Day 6 of the USD and was wondering if a treat at the end of the seven days would be a bad idea. I ordered the home delivered meals from Dr. Hyman and have been sticking pretty close to the plan. I have been supplementing some of the prepared meals with my own because I wanted a little more variety. I do not eat most meat products so my choices were slightly limited compared to the average carnivore. I am waiting for day 7 for the final weigh-in and to retake my measurements. I know I have made progress because my clothes are looser and I look less puffy.
I love the concept of this diet and lifestyle. But I need to have an occasional treat now and then. I am not having any major cravings or anything like that but I do miss a few things. It seems more doable to me if I was allowed to eat one meal/treat a week of whatever I wanted within reason.
Would this undo all of my progress?

I had to share with you that I am feeling the same way. I am wondering if having a treat now angain would be okay. I did great on my first week and am heading into week two.
It is a great plan it is the best I have ever come across. Not many plans check in to see how you feel!

You are allowed a half cup of fresh fruit twice during the 7 days. Basically that is your allowed treat. after you have finished the detoxing ultrasimple diet you can move on to the ultrametabolism diet, where Dr Hyman says that you can follow the 90/10 rule (eat healthy 90% of the time and allow yourself other food 10% of the time but paying full attention to how that other food makes you feel). but if you treat yourself to non allowed food than you are not really detoxing and you are undoing all your hard work. hang in there, you'll feel much better when your system has fully cleaned itself of all junky bad stuff.

I don't know what your idea of a "treat" is, but for me, the faux ice creams under USD recipes are a treat. If you try them, I hope you enjoy them as much as I do when I can remember to make them.
What I'm saying here, is to "treat" yourself to something that is "legal"!

I didn't do the USD, but I think so early in the program you need to stick with it. On UMD it was following it strictly for like the first 4 or 5 weeks - to get the results I think 5 weeks is a pretty short amount of time to stick it out. However, if your will power is very low or you feel you're going to completely jack it in, then a very small treat would be better than that - as long as its not a 18"pizza! (IMHO).
