Taking Supplements: What's difference between Before you eat and With meals?

Doing the UltraSimple Diet 
The UltraSimple Diet instructions say one is supposed to take the supplements at lunch time WITH the meal and the supplements at breakfast and dinner BEFORE the meal. Does that mean one sits down at breakfast and dinner time, takes the supplements then eats? Or should I take them earlier (like 10 or 20 minutes before the breakfast and dinner meals?

I can't speak to this actual diet, but normally "with a meal" means at the same time and "before a meal" means about 30 minutes before. I'll be interested in seeing what others say though...

Hey There Knitterguy,
The following will answer your question, it's an excerpt from the Ultra Metabolism guide, page 40:
4. Generally take all your vitamins with food—optimally with a meal or just before.
People who take them after a meal may find they just sit on top of their food and
upset their stomach. If you have an upset stomach even when you take them
before a meal, find a doc tor who can help to correct any digestive problems,
which are often the source of intolerance.
