So much food!!! Do I have to eat it all?

Yesterday was Day 1 of the UD. As I was going through my checklist, I found myself unable to eat everything I was supposed to. Aside from lunch (rice & broccoli) and dinner (broccoli & carrots, rice, salmon), I only had 1 of the shakes (breakfast), and 2 small cups of the broth during the day. And I still wasn't hungry!
I tend to have a small appetite to begin with. What's the downfall of not eating all my shakes and broth? I'd love to follow the program to a "T", but I just don't think I can stomach all this food!!

I have the same concern! What if I don't eat it all or drink all of the broth each day?  will that slow results?

I read in the book that you do not have to eat all of the food or drink all the broth, but I am not sure about all the shakes...I'm not sure whether or not it will effect the results of the diet either...I haven't actually begun the diet, I've only read the book and am now in my "preparation week", so will be beginning next Sunday. Any suggestions?

Not only is it too much but I hate the broth I made.  So I have scoured the book to find a way around that and to me it seems that he does say that you can substitute a snack of nuts or something there.  Also only the morning shake is required, the other two have (optional if you are still hungry) next to them in the checklist.

Yes I also want to get ALL of the benefits of this program and am doing the enhanced version. BUT that BROTH. I love veggies but I hate that broth. I would love another option for alkalinizing my system without drinking that.

Since I have not actually started the program yet, I can not comment on the broth specifically, but he does say the recipe can be varied according to taste. The object of the broth is to help balance the ph in our systems.

Just glancing at the ingredients many people may like it better if the seaweed is removed or reduced. I think since seaweed is so healthful, I might replace it with a supplement.

Another option would be to reduce the recipe and make it a couple of ways to find the combination that works best for you.

I will also use the broth as a base for poaching my fish, chicken or tofu and add veggies to eat it as a soup.
